August 27, 1944 – May 11, 2024

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Filipina ‘Fely”Alday.

Predeceased by her husband, Rene Alday Sr. and her sister, Milagros Garcia+ (Jose Levy Sr +); she is survived by her sisters Petronila (Melencio), Luzviminda (Rodrigo), Flordeliza – (Gumercindo +), and brothers Reynaldo (Milagros) and Pascual Jr. (Adoracion); her son, Rene Jr. (Rosario), daughters, Rica (Jomar) and Rena (Sidique); her grandson, Hans Peter and many relatives.

She enjoyed travelling, watching Vice Ganda and Batang Quiapo on The Filipino Channel, praying the rosary and hearing mass online especially The Healing Eucharist with Fr. Gerry Orbos.  She always enjoyed visits with family and friends.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit her and care for her. 

The Alday and Valera family are thankful to all the diligent and helpful doctors, nurses, healthcare aides and hospital staff who took good care of Nanay when she visited the Health Sciences Centre, Seven Oaks and Manitoba X-Ray Clinic. 

Nanay Fely passed away peacefully on May 11th at St. Boniface Hospital after receiving the last rite from Father Garba.  Special thanks to Dr. Mona Hegdekar and St. Boniface ER nurses who have cared for Nanay Fely.

We love you “Meh”.  Rest in peace with the Lord.
