It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Clara De Wulf, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 96 years. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Louise Embury and Pat (Gary) Dudar, grandchildren, Kimberley (David) Hackbart, John (Carissa) Embury-Hyatt, Jackie Jennens, Tricia (Tom) Albig, Darren Dudar, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives in Belgium and Marshall, Minnesota, and friends. Mom was a proud Belgian, and lifetime member of the Belgian Club. She enjoyed travelling, sewing, and above all spending time with her family. Clara was predeceased by her parents, four sisters and two brothers. In keeping with Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service celebrating Clara’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Interment to follow in the Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Clara may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or to a charity of one’s choice.
