Interim Entombment

1955 – May 9, 2024

On that fateful day of May 9, 2024, at precisely 3:00 a.m., Remy look her last breath at the HISC Women’s Hospital, at the age of 68 years, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

Left to cherish Remy’s memory is her beloved children Remely: Grace and Mark Salangsang and their children, Karlos, Brianna and Cloè; Denis and Josephine Bigornia and their children Kane, Salzee, Gabriel and Tristan; Catherine and Carlos Sadsad and their son Zack.  Her hushand Wilfred Bigornia predeceased her.

Remy was born in Pampange Philippines, the seventh child of Jose and Brigida Mercado del Rosario.  She was eighteen when she got married in 1973.  She started working overseas (Singapore, Hong Kong and China) since 1984 to provide for her family.  She immigrated to Canada in 2018 and became a massage therapist as she loved helping and making her clients feel better.  She never stopped working despite her illness as she still wanted to help her loved ones back home.

Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 315 Munroe Ave.  Winnipeg on May 24, 2024 with Fr. Greg Mulligan presiding.

Heart of Gold
