Art attended the University of Manitoba and graduated in May of 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Art began his Professional Engineering career at the Saskatchewan Power Corporation where he met the love of his life Margaret (Marg) McDonald. They were married in August of 1959 in Regina. In 1967 Art and Marg moved to Winnipeg where Art had accepted a position with Atomic Energy of Canada. Soon after Art accepted a position with Manitoba Hydro where he worked until retiring in the position of Vice-President of Business Development. Art cared deeply for all his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandpa always ensuring that everyone was doing well and offering his wisdom, support and love. He cherished his grandchildren, enjoying many special memories during their summer visits to Traverse Bay with Gramma and Grampa Derry.
