Ricardo L. Ortega, age 98, of Skokie, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in Northbrook.

Beloved husband of the late Remigia A., nee Amatong; loving father of Zenaida (Cyrus) Zosa, Lillian (Albert) Montuya, Cherry (Samuel) Trocio, Rainier (Sherry), Ronald (Sharon), and Russell (Ann Marie); dear grandfather of Lexie (Lyle), Michael Richard (Misaki), Lynette Mae (Jose), Mark Albert, Madelyn (Ash), Samuel Nikko, Raffi Stefano (Juli), Lester Dwight (Khadija), Karen Kristel (Vinnie), Celestial Dawn (Juan), Stephanie Mae (Barry) Reinhold Beckham, Reiness Bianca, Tiffany Amber, and Audree Heather; cherished great-grandfather of Keigo, Shogo, Arden, Anika Phoebe, and Julian Joaquin; fond brother of Loretto Carreon and Margarita Garcia and the late Alfonso, Bernardo, Angela, and Maura Ortega and Leonor Navarro.

Visitation, Monday, October 12, 2020, from 3 to 7 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. [ Please Note: In compliance with public health and safety directives due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required. A maximum of 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at any given time. ]

Family and friends to meet for Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, October 13, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. [ Please Note:  Face masks, social distancing, and a maximum of 80 people in church. ]
