November 24, 1933 – January 27, 2024

With deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of Benjamin Gawaran Pragides, of Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 90 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 50 years, Flora; son Bryan (Connie); grandchildren: Brennan, Caylie, Braylen; siblings Leticia, Rogelio (Lucita), Purita (Conrado), Estrellita (Alfredo), Rufina (Manuel), Evelita (Alfredo), Felix Junior (deceased), Marilyn (Lauro); as well as numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He immigrated to Canada in June 1974.  He cherished his career at Princess Auto for precisely 40 years.

He took much pride being the patriarch of his siblings, always considerate of their best interests.  Yet, he also had the determination to have a modest small business, ultimately building the foundation for his family’s future security and success.

He held a special place in the hearts of everyone he interacted with and will be forever missed.

Novena Prayers were held nightly at 7:30 p.m. from January 27, 2024 to February 4, 2024.

Lamay was held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 and Friday, February 2, 2024 at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4477 Main Street, West Saint Paul, MB.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 15 Columbia Drive, Winnipeg, MB.

Benjamin’s remains were entombed in Living Waters Columbium during a private ceremony.
