March 25, 1944 – August 30, 2017

Rodelio Cabusas Suarez was born on March 25, 1944 in San Juan, Manila, Philippines to Pascual Suarez and Emilia Cabusas Suarez.  Mom and Dad were married in 1972 and Rachel was born in 1973.  Dad moved to Winnipeg in 1975 to establish a new and better life for his family.  Tita and Rachel joined him in 1976.  In Winnipeg, we set up a new life full of friends and very good memories.

In 2006, Papa was diagnosed with throat cancer.  He battled and struggled with the cancer and the resulting side effects until the end of his life on August 30, 2017.  Papa had a strong faith and knew that God was with him when he died as he was found kneeling at the end of his bed in prayer.
