FRANCES VAN WALLEGHEM (nee SENDEN) June 9, 1939 – March 17, 2019 After a brave battle, Frances passed away peacefully in the arms of George, her husband of 60 years. Predeceased by her grandson Nathaniel; she is survived by her husband George, eight children, Michael (Marisa), Karen (Dave) Priestley, Brenda, Greg (Wendy), David (Melody), Janet (Jorge) Perez, Peter (Norma) and Danielle (Terry) Patrick, 23 grand-children, eight great-grandchildren, sister Mary Brunette, and her brother Tony (Val) Senden. Mom was a true matriarch and leaves behind a legacy of family unity and love. She was “Mom” to many. She believed in inclusion, education, and charity; taking a stand for what she believed in. She dedicated many years in developing skills for young girls through her 50 year involvement in the Girl Guides. Frances was a faithful and active member of the St. Gianna Beretta Molla Roman Catholic Parish. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the St. Gianna R.C. Church, 15 Columbia Drive, Winnipeg, MB. She will be inurned in the Living Waters Columbarium at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of choice in her name.
